OK, so its Valentines day. A day for opening your heart and flooding your loved one with powerful emotions, gifts and affection. It's a fantastic day to be with the one you love but what if your all alone? Well, I'm alone and It's not the first V-Day I spend by myself in my life. This Valentines day is different, painful, lonely and heartbreaking because for the first time in my life I found Love. Her name was Jule and she was the first girl to ever open up the Chasity belt that encompassed my heart. I would and did anything for her. Trust me the amount of work I did to be with her was astonishing to even myself. I worked 12 hour days to save up money to be with this girl (because she had moved away) and sacrificed my sex life to be loyal to her. I put aside my hedonistic nature replaced it with these new emotions. I felt as if I could do anything, be anything I wanted, I felt I had a partner and I felt like my life was not only about me anymore. I felt I was good enough. I was in love for the first time. Not just a false "I love you" to get a girl in the sack, I really felt love. Naturally it was doomed to fail because of the distance. In knew this and as a result I began to act different. I began to try harder and in essence I became fake. I tried everything to make it work, I would lie to her and her to me. It went wrong after we spent our time together.Our time was good but I just knew it couldn't continue. Not like this.
I came back knowing it was over and it hurt. It was the worse pain ever. My first and only love to date is gone. I still think about her, I still wish to be with her but that is my selfish way. She is gone and I accept it. I just wish I could say sorry to Her for putting her through the same pain I went through. There is a huge void in my heart which i don't think anyone could ever fill. We felt for each other without thinking about the consequences. Now i have to deal with the repercussions.
Love is amazing. It cannot defined and many believe Humans are the only animal to feel such a way. I use to think we didn't love that we just attached ourselves to certain people in order to procreate and keep the species surviving. I was wrong. Love is real, joyous, painful, Wonderful, Horrible and Magical. I just hope everyone who has someone to share these feelings with understand how lucky you are.

Xenophobia In Russia Is Way Out Of Control.

Xenophobia has become a major problem in Russia. In January alone 16 crimes have been classified as xenophobic in the Russian capital of Moscow . Most of the attacks have been aimed at immigrants of Caucasian/Central Asian ethnicity's.
Neo Nazi groups have been on the rise but the world hardly had an idea of the storm forming in Russia.
In a 2005 report by Amnesty International a probe found a staggering 252 hate related crimes in Russia.
Reports show a astonishing number of Neo Nazi's, which is reported to be between 50,000 - 70,000 according to Amnesty International. That would Make up for roughly 1/2 of the worlds Neo Nazi population. In a three month span in 2008, 89 people were killed in race related incidents.
But maybe the most depressing notion of this story is the almost complete silence by the Russian Government. Some would say they have help amplified the situation by promising to cut 1/2 the migrant workforce citing the World economic downturn.
The xenophobic feelings have infiltrated other phases of Russian society as well. In sports Dick Advocaat, former manager of Russian super club Zenit Saint Petersburg has been been quoted as saying he was unable to sign black players because "Zenit supporters wont have it". In 2008 Zenit was fined 37,000 Euros after a Uefa racism probe. Camerooian defender Christian Tschuisse had this to say to the B.B.C in 2003 interview "I've had bananas thrown at me on the pitch" he said. "People shouting at me: 'Oi, black guy, what are you doing in here?' And there have been fights, too."

The issue hit its peak when in 2008 a Russian Professor who was a member of a ethnic minorities rights group was stabbed to death on a Saint Petersburg street.Thousands of Young Russians took the streets to protest the lack of corroboration from the local police force. Yet despite the uproar not even a statement came from Putin.

So what can we do about this grave injustice? How can we save lives from the front of our computer screen? Well, The E.C.R.I (The European Commission against Racism and Intolerance) has joined the fight to help out Russia but without pressure from countries outside Europe and a full commitment by the Russian authorities things will get much worse before they get any better. All we can do is write to our congressmen and women and ask for political pressure on behave of our nation. As the ruble Continues to fall political pressure from trade partners would help but of course its biggest trade partner is China who has a few human rights issues of its own. In the end this is an issue created by the Russian people and a Problem only the Russian people can solve.
